Individual & Couples Psychotherapy
About
Hi, I'm Scott. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist working with teens, adults, and couples.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe good therapy starts with meeting you where you are, but that doesn't mean leaving you there. I'll take the time to understand what's happening beneath the surface while also offering honest perspective and thoughtful challenge when it's helpful.
I work with people navigating relationship and attachment challenges, anxiety and depression, identity, neurodivergence, emotional dysregulation, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, and patterns that can leave them feeling stuck. My work also includes concerns that can be difficult to talk about openly or carry shame, including substance overuse, pornography use, out-of-control sexual behaviour, and other patterns that may be affecting your relationships, well-being, or sense of self.
My approach is integrative rather than one-size-fits-all. Together, we'll explore the experiences and patterns shaping how you feel, cope, and connect with others, while finding practical ways to create meaningful and lasting change.
Services
Teens
Adolescence can bring significant changes in identity, relationships, emotions, independence, and family dynamics. I work with teens navigating anxiety, mood, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, self-esteem, identity, relationships, and other challenges that can make this stage of life particularly complicated.
My approach balances creating a space where teens can speak openly and feel respected with helping them develop greater insight, confidence, and healthier ways of navigating what's happening in their lives.
Individuals
You may know that something isn't working without knowing exactly how to change it. You might feel stuck in familiar patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety or low mood, disconnected from yourself or others, or struggling with experiences that are difficult to make sense of.
Individual therapy gives us space to understand what's underneath those patterns, not simply manage symptoms. Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, and ways of coping that have shaped you, while working toward meaningful change in how you feel, respond, and connect.
Couples
Relationships can become caught in patterns that neither partner intended including recurring conflict, withdrawal, resentment, emotional distance, or a loss of trust.
Couples therapy isn't about deciding who's right or wrong. I help partners slow those patterns down, understand what's happening underneath them, and develop new ways of communicating and responding to one another. The goal is greater understanding, trust, and emotional connection, and a relationship that works better for both of you.
Affirming & Inclusive
Your identity isn't something that needs to be explained, defended, or treated as a problem. I provide affirming therapy for 2SLGBTQI+ clients navigating relationships, identity, family, sexuality, life transitions, mental health concerns—or simply the same complexities of being human that bring anyone to therapy.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us determine whether working together might be a good fit. You can book a consultation directly online or, if you'd prefer, send me a message.
